Frassati Society Mission Statement:
"The Frassati Society of Detroit exists in order to reach out to young adults, foster moments of conversion, and lead them home to Christ and His Church through the witness of Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati"
Below are a few of our regular ongoing events. Visit Our Calendar for details on all of our upcoming events.
Frassati Holy Hour
3rd Friday every Month, 8:00pm
National Shrine of the Little Flower
Join us for an hour of praise, worship, readings and reflection before the Blessed Sacrament, followed by a social hour at National Coney Island. The Holy Hour takes place in either the main church of the National Shrine of the Little Flower. Holy Hour begins at 8:00 PM.
Frassati Men's Group
1st & 3rd Saturdays every Month 10 AM - 12 PM
Are you looking for a way to draw closer to God and your Catholic brothers? Then consider joining the Frassati Men's Fellowship. We offer men a welcoming setting in which we pray, share our faith, and discuss a Catholic-themed book. Each meeting is approximately two hours long. This group is open to all men, both single and married. If you are interested, please check out our facebook page or email us.
Frassati Women's Group
Thursday, June 23 at 6:30pm
Come check out our new women's fellowship group. The first meeting at Cosi (37652 12 Mile Rd. Farmington Hills) on Thursday June 23rd at 6:30pm will be a chance to get to know one another, decide on a format, and figure out times to meet in the future. For more information about this group, check out our facebook page or email us.
"We, who by the grace of God are Catholics must not squander the best years of our lives as so many unhappy young people do, who worry about enjoying the good things in life, things that do not in fact bring any good, but rather the fruit of immorality in today's world. We must prepare ourselves to be ready and able to handle the struggles we will have to endure to fulfill our program and give our country, in the not too distant future, happier days and a morally healthy society, but to achieve this we need constant prayer to obtain from God that grace without which all our prayers are useless; organization and discipline to be ready for action at the right time; and finally, the sacrifice of our passion and of ourselves, because without that we cannot achieve our aim.”
-Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, Turin, Italy, 1922
